Real Woman - Danielle Gletow / One Simple Wish

Recently I had the opportunity to photograph Danielle Gletow, Founder of One Simple Wish for Real Woman Magazine. One Simple Wish does some great work in that they have been granting wishes to foster children and impoverished or vulnerable families on a national scale since 2008. When we showed up at their location in Trenton, New Jersey I decided to use a three light set up to illuminate Danielle in the "Wish Shop". I used a beauty dish w/grid above camera, a bare light bouncing into the ceiling off to the side for a base fill and a back light with a small gridded softbox. I thought it best to have Danielle sit to present her as welcoming and friendly. It just seemed to fit with the all the toys and stuffed animals that we arranged around her, plus it made the space seem larger than it was. There's a shot of my assistant Dan below shortly after we first arrived showing what the ambient light and how the surrounding toys were set up.
