Kat Holmes : Real Woman Magazine
This was the 2nd time that I had a photography shoot at the Princeton University Jadwin Gymnasium. The first New Jersey editorial portrait shoot I had done at the Gym was of Courtney Banghart, former Head Coach of Princeton women’s basketball. You can see that post and more photographs of Courtney Banghart here.
This time around, I was commissioned to photograph Kat Holmes, one of the best closers in womens fencing and in pursuit of a gold medal at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo with the US Women's Fencing Team.
We had roughly 1 hour with Kat on set for the Real Woman Magazine photo shoot and needed to capture several looks. So, that meant conceptualizing and planning out our lighting setups ahead of time. All of it couldn't have been done so quickly and efficiently without the help of 1st assistant Konnor Durante, Hair/Makeup Kelsey at Gina Kay Premium and Editor Jess Downey. As always, creative director Peter Yates sprinkled some special sauce on the final layout.
