The Judge Group - Corporate Group Candids & Headshots

The Judge Group is an industry leader in technology, talent and learning solutions with it's headquarters located in Wayne, Pennsylvania. We recently were afforded the opportunity to collaborate with the marketing and executive teams to produce a library of images for their newly designed website and marketing campaigns.

I was asked to provide Judge with a corporate library of executive headshots, environmental corporate lifestyle and group working candids. The entire photo shoot took place over one jam packed day in June. The executive business headshots were all photographed on a white seamless background for the first half of the day while the corporate working scenarios were scheduled in the afternoon.

Considering there were a lot of moving parts, talent arrangements and a super tight schedule we decided a scouting day would be beneficial prior to the shoot date. A scout day is incredibly important, when the budget allows, to determine what areas would be best suited for the not only the head shots but mainly all the group setups.

When scouting an office location there are several goals we are looking to achieve. We want to first determine what the client would like to communicate in each setup. Is there a particular segment of the business they would like to highlight. Where would that take place, what props are needed, how many people would be required for the setup, etc? Once we determine the general structure of what the client would like to convey in each scenario, we scout the entire premises for areas that have a good quality of light, modern and visually interesting spaces and creative angles we can use to achieve the clients goals. After the scout day, we propose what locations work best for each shot on the list by sending along a visual mood board.

By the time the shoot day rolled around, we had a solid production book finalized with day of schedule, scouting photo references and client & crew contact information. Everything throughout the day went better than planned. We were blessed to have such a great group of people to volunteer their time and work with us for each group setup.
